FAUNA Transports

Delivering Second Chances

Every week, FAUNA volunteers help our furry friends get where they need to be—whether it’s to vet appointments, adoption events, bath days, or loving homes across state lines. It’s more than logistics—it’s hope in motion.

What Do FAUNA Transport Volunteers Do?

  • Drive foster pets to veterinary visits and needed treatments
  • Transport dogs and cats from Natchitoches Parish to partner rescues throughout Louisiana and beyond
  • Bring animals to public adoption events and grooming fundraisers
  • Support emergency intake and relocation needs

These journeys save lives, reduce shelter overcrowding, and give animals their best shot at adoption.

Interested in Helping?

We’d love to have you on the transport team, even if you’re brand new to rescue volunteering. Here’s how to get started:

  • Sign up using our Volunteer Application → choose “Transport Volunteer”
  • Let us know your availability and whether you can help local or out-of-state
  • Attend a short orientation to learn our safety protocols and support process

Why It Matters

FAUNA’s transport program serves Natchitoches Parish — but also connects us to a broader rescue ecosystem. With your support, we keep medicine and love moving across state lines:

  • Saves shelter lives
  • Increases adoption placements
  • Builds community bonds
