Krewe of Waguns Pet & Children’s Parade

Get ready for a tail-wagging good time! The Krewe of Waguns Children & Pet Parade is set to roll through downtown Natchitoches on Saturday, Februyary 14, 2026 at 3 PM. This family-friendly Mardi Gras parade invites children, pets, and floats to join in the festivities.
Event Details:
- Registration: 2:00 PM
- Parade Line-Up: 2:45 PM at Bank of Montgomery (814 Washington Street)
- Parade Route:
- Start at Bank of Montgomery
- Head south on Front Street to Touline Street
- Turn left to the downtown riverbank stage
Entry Fee: $10.00 per family
Special Highlights:
- Register your pet for a chance to earn “Celebrity Status” as King Rex Rufus or Queen Mutt A Gras.
- Awards will be given for Best Dressed Pet Costume, Children’s Costume, and Float (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place).
Parade Rules and Notes:
- Golf carts are allowed if driven by an adult.
- Children can ride scooters, bicycles, or wagons but must be accompanied by an adult.
- ATVs are not permitted.
- Don’t forget to BYOB (Bring Your Own Beads) to throw during the parade.
